451 Research is a leading global analyst and data company focused on the business of enterprise IT innovation. We are seeking a curious, bright, analytic, and hardworking individual to fill the newly created Associate Analyst position that is both a qualitative and quantitative research role.

The selected candidate will be a part of our industry analyst team that provides actionable data and insights to our clients on software and technology topics including mobile, IoT, AI/ML, Digital Transformation, and Customer Experience. You will work directly with the Research Vice President shaping our coverage in these markets to analyze our survey data and write reports for our 451 Research clients.

Person Profile

We are looking to recruit an Associate Analyst with a good mix of data analytical, written, interpersonal skills. Top priority is the ability to analyze data and write clearly and succinctly. As an Associate Analyst, you will be expected to work diligently within a geographically dispersed, global team. Daily activity will involve reviewing results from surveys, participating in vendor briefings, helping with client inquiries and creating reports. Key skills include data analysis skills using spreadsheets, charting data in PowerPoint and writing advisory reports using insight from data.

  • Assist Research Vice President in analyzing data from surveys
  • Write spotlights based on key insights from the data
  • Respond to internal and external requests for additional data cuts and analysis
  • Assist the Research Vice President in the research topics for Customer Experience and Commerce channel
  • Learn and expand survey development skills to cover new topics and support new data products


  • Bachelors in related field; or two years of experience   
  • Experience with the collection, analysis and synthesis of data
  • Writing short content pieces of under 2,000 words
  • Using PowerPoint to create client deliverables
  • Using SPSS to run data analysis
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Keen attention to detail and a passion for accuracy
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
