451 Research is seeking an Editor to join our Creative Services team. This team, which includes editorial and graphics professionals, is responsible for reviewing and publishing a range of content including long-format (15+ pages) reports, shorter survey and forecast data products, webinars and marketing materials.

The Editor is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency and integrity of 451 Research’s voice to the marketplace through superior editing skills. The ideal candidate will be a skilled editing professional with some background in the technology market who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Core job functions include:

  • Editing and proofreading technology research materials to ensure the content meets 451 Research’s quality and style standards
  • Reviewing data products to check for consistency, completeness and editorial accuracy
  • Juggling multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
  • Working with graphic designers to help them select the most appropriate method of data visualization for each project
  • Ensuring quality of deliverables across multiple formats, including Word, PDF, PPT, Excel and HTML
  • Interfacing with internal departments to ensure on-time delivery of 451 Research products
  • Coaching analysts to improve their writing skills
  • Updating and maintaining report content templates


  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of two years of related experience
  • Strong editing skills, including experience with developmental editing
  • Familiarity with chart creation in Excel/PowerPoint is a plus
  • Understanding of the high-tech and/or telecom industry is a plus
  • Experience with content management systems is a plus
