Biography

Jennifer P. Clark was Vice President, Network Research for 451 Research. She headed the Network research practice, providing actionable insight into network technology and infrastructure, examining the challenges facing both enterprises and network operators in provisioning the local, wide-area and radio access networks, and the solutions and technology that will meet the demands of 4G and 5G mobile networking, cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT). Jennifer's personal areas of research included software-defined networks (SDN), network functions virtualization (NFV), network orchestration, mobile backhaul, network policy management, the Evolved Packet Core, DNS, IPv6, carrier Ethernet, and core and edge routers.

Jennifer started her industry research career with Yankee Group, which was acquired by The 451 Group in 2013. Prior to joining Yankee Group, she was Manager of Network Planning and Strategy for Wang Laboratories' corporate data network. She began her career at Wang with responsibility for the domestic and international rollout of Wang's packet network, connecting more than 250 locations in 14 countries. Before joining Wang, she was a member of the IT research and development division of Commercial Union Insurance Companies.

Clark is a highly regarded speaker at industry seminars and conferences, and is frequently cited by the commercial and trade press. She has been a guest lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and is a member of the IEEE.

She holds a BA degree from Mount Holyoke College.
