Biography

Kevin Burden was VP of Mobility Research and Data Strategy at 451 Research. He led the company's market and quantitative analysis across all mobile technology segments. Kevin has more than 20 years of experience analyzing markets for mobile and wireless technologies.

Previously, Kevin was director of mobility at Strategy Analytics and senior manager of mobile devices at Nielsen Mobile, a division of the Nielsen Company, where he was responsible for consulting services and regular business reviews with mobile device manufacturers. Prior to that, he spent seven years at IDC as program manager, mobile & wireless markets, launching the company's coverage of the smartphone market and leading a global team of analysts focused on mobile devices and enterprise mobility.

Kevin also spent 10 years at one of the industry's most respected and leading weekly newspapers, Computerworld. As the publication's senior features writer, he covered numerous technology fields, focusing specifically on how corporations use technology to meet corporate goals. Kevin has been quoted in many of the world's foremost business and technology publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Time, Forbes, The Boston Globe and Investor's Business Daily, and has spoken at the industry's most important events, including CES, CTIA and Mobile World Congress.

He holds a BA in economics from Northeastern University.
