Biography

Megan Goodwin is a research analyst for the 451 Research Information Security Channel at S&P Global Market Intelligence. She leads coverage of customer identity and access management, and her background in adversarial tactics supports her coverage in areas such as vulnerability management and attack surface management as well. Megan has an in-depth knowledge of digital forensics tools and tactics and has an understanding in areas where the "dark web" intersects with crime. She has experience working with digital forensics and incident response tools and extracting metadata from confiscated devices. She also has a deep understanding of criminal theory and has acquired a certification in XRY software. Prior to her infosec role, Megan was a data analyst at Pratt & Whitney, contributing to supply chain oversight and management. Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and criminology with a focus on cybercrime from the University of Alabama, a certificate in cybersecurity tactics from Columbia University and a certificate in cybersecurity from Harvard University. In addition, she is pursuing a master’s degree in cybersecurity at Harvard University.
