Biography

Robert Mahowald was 451 Research’s Senior Vice President for Customer Success & Strategy, working to ensure that our efforts and insights translate into customer success. Robert’s focus was to shape 451 Research products and services to meet the needs of our clients, large and small. He also worked closely with 451’s largest clients on significant strategic advisory projects, helping to guide their businesses.

Robert was part of 451’s Research Advisory Council, where he worked with senior management to shape 451’s products to fit the priorities, preferred research and advisory-consumption requirements of our largest customers. 451 Research’s success is built on the power of timely, well-sourced, unique data, and Robert worked with the research teams and overall organization to advance our research strategy, production and delivery.

Prior to joining 451 Research, Robert spent 17 years at IDC providing strategic guidance to c-level executives at technology vendor, financial and enterprise businesses. He worked with clients as diverse as SAIC, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon Web Services, Campbell’s Soup and MetLife, among others. He also led IDC’s software and applications research teams as Group Vice President in the firm’s research business. Prior to that, Robert worked in technology procurement and systems design for the US Defense Intelligence Agency.
