Steve Carter was VP of 451 Research Advisory Services. Steve has over 20 years of experience aligning application workloads and technology/datacenter facilities infrastructure strategies to dynamic business demand cycles and end-user needs. Steve has developed thought leadership and digital infrastructure transformation modeling tools/methodologies that accurately predict future technology and datacenter facilities (build, buy, third party and private/public cloud) infrastructure requirements based on application workload best execution venue optimization. Steve has expertise in both traditional and everything-as-a-service (cloud) planning/design/continuous improvement implementation.
Steve has led over 100 mission-critical technology/datacenter master-planning programs during his career. His roles within these programs included program manager for entire architecture/engineering/technology planning datacenter design teams, executive principal in charge of the program and chief solutions architect for digital infrastructure roadmap/enterprise cloud roadmap strategic design/develop/deployment programs.
Prior to joining 451 Research, Steve was a global managing principal at Hewlett-Packard EYP Mission Critical Facilities. He was one of two founders of an IT advisory practice for the world's largest engineering company that specialized in datacenter design/build programs. Before EYP, Steve was a technical director of a global group that provided technology and datacenter facilities master planning for a very large architecture and engineering firm.
Steve has experience as a lead datacenter construction program manager for projects at companies such as Charles Schwab.
