Biography

Tim has primary responsibility for product development, operations and overall commercial activity for the financial markets group at 451 Research, a part of S&P Global Market Intelligence. He is the founder of the M&A KnowledgeBase, a tech-focused M&A transactions database that covers telecom and technology deals across more than 650 technology segments. The KnowledgeBase is the cornerstone offering of the financial markets group; the team also recently launched a database of private, independent enterprise technology companies that complements the KnowledgeBase. Tim joined the company in 2003 when 451 Research acquired his startup, M&A data provider Webmergers. Prior to establishing Webmergers in 2000, Tim spent five years as president of New Media Resources, a consulting firm for interactive media startups. Before starting New Media Resources, Tim spent five years in corporate development at Ziff Communications, assisting senior management in acquisitions research, strategic planning and development of online products. Tim has studied interactive services through a fellowship at the Gannett Center for Media at Columbia University in New York.
