From IT to ITaaS: Reference Architectures and Enablers For Software-Defined Enterprises
March 26, 2015
Enterprises are increasingly seeking the resiliency and economic advantage promised by cloud services and software-defined technologies. Their goal is to enable IT self-service, lower provisioning time from months to minutes, and cut IT resource costs in half. They want to enable their IT infrastructure with qualities akin to public cloud service providers and reposition their value as a broker of IT services using software-defined infrastructure and rapidly deployable reference architectures designed for common IT workloads. Doing so requires the right combination of standardized IT resources, orchestration for IT automation, integration technology and an awareness of what is to be expected as workloads shift across hybrid cloud infrastructure. Moreover, new approaches are needed to manage application integration and orchestrate business processes to assure continuity of operations. This will drive the need for various technologies to interoperate and potentially converge.
Building Infrastructure to Enable the Digital Enterprise
March 19, 2015
The transformational journey to a Digital Infrastructure that our clients are on is by far the most challenging one for IT to date. Technology is the enabler of these goals, not just a tool to support them. IT has the chance to go from being the “slow or no” department to the “go and grow” people.
