Biography

Boris Metodiev was a research manager on 451 Research's Mobile Telecom team, responsible for mobile and connected devices. His areas of expertise included mobile devices, smartphones, handsets, e-readers, tablets and connected consumer electronics. Metodiev focused primarily on mobile vendor strategies, mobile OS and ecosystems, and device patents licensing and litigation.

Boris joined 451 Research with the company's acquisition of mobility research firm Yankee Group in 2013. Prior to joining Yankee Group's research team, Metodiev served as a product development manager of the firm's Forecasts and Monitors. He built Yankee Group's quantitative database structure and Excel tools for its data products. He also led and developed many of the publication processes used to publish Yankee Group's 3.2 million data points each quarter, which provide consistent product creation, streamlined editorial process and fast go-to-market capability. Boris joined Yankee Group in September 2003 doing data research for the Telecommunication Strategies Europe and Broadband & Media Europe Decision Services. Before joining Yankee Group, he worked as an intern at Merrill Lynch London.

Boris holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in economics and finance from Huron University USA in London.
